2019 Budget: 107 million euros

On 31st January, the community councillors voted for the Quimper Western Brittany 2019 budget (more than 100,000 inhabitants, 14 communes). It amounts to €107,036,237 including €28 million in investment expenditure.

This is the third budget of Quimper Western Brittany, EPCI (Public Establishment for Inter-communal Cooperation) created on 1st January, 2017. In 2018, the harmonization of the statutes was carried out and the community project adopted. The latter proposed the extension of the definition of community interest in the area of early childhood welfare, the management of communal nursing homes (EHPAD) and the development and steering of local health and mental health contracts, as well as the creation of a reach competence and also to endow the EPCI with an energy transition competence. Also noteworthy is the transfer of the swimming pool and the Briec media library to Quimper Western Brittany since 1st January 2019.

The budget of Quimper Western Brittany is composed of 11 budgets:

• the main budget (€ 66 million),
• the annexed transport budget (€ 17.7 million),
• an annexed water-direct management budget (€ 1.9 million),
• an annexed water - delegated management budget (€ 4.9 million),
• a collective sanitation budget - direct management budget (€ 1.2 million),
• a collective sanitation budget - delegated management budget (€ 5.2 million),
• an annexed SPANC (Public On-site Sanitation Service) budget (€ 570 000),
• an annexed budget for the rental of economic buildings (€ 608 360),
• an annexed budget for Economic Activity Zones (€ 7.8 million),
• a budget for the valorisation of renewable energies (€ 671 055)
• Port activities budget (€ 142 850).
